Drivers and teams will make their second trip of the Season to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 17, but for Chad and the Billy Boat Motorsports crew, it will be their first trip to the famed oval.</p>
<p>          “We didn’t run at New Hampshire earlier in the year so we are definitely a little behind everyone else, but Joe (Crew chief) has been there before and knows what to expect, so I think we’ll be competitive,” Chad said. “We also added Bill Wilburn recently to serve as car chief, and he obviously brings an added wealth of knowledge and experience to our program.”</p>
<p>          Running back-to-back weekends for the first and only time of the season, The “Monster Mile,” Dover International Speedway will be the site of the second K&amp;N Pro Series race on September 24.</p>
<p>          Chad will return home immediately after to continue school and eventually wrap up his season at Phoenix International Raceway when he competes with the K&amp;N Pro Series, west division.  Be sure to follow Chad on Twitter to get updates straight from the driver on how his trip is going.</p>

For Chad and the Billy Boat Motorsports team, they spent more time changing engines then they did on the racetrack.</p>
<p><span id="more-1081"></span></p>
<p>            Showing up at the Belleville High Banks with a fresh motor, and coming off a solid top 3 showing in POWRi competition, Chad’s confidence would go up in smoke in hot laps.</p>
<p>Even though the night would get off to a rough start, it was still early. Missing qualifying and heat race action while changing the motor, the team would get it completed, and Chad would start the 12-lap B main in the 19th position. Needing to run Top 4 to transfer into the night’s preliminary feature event, Chad sliced through the field in a B-main that would see no yellow flags to bunch the field back up, ultimately finishing in the 5th position.</p>
<p>            Fortunately for Chad, the car finishing in the fourth and final transfer spot would lose an engine crossing the finish line, thus making him unable to start the A-feature, and opening a spot for Chad.</p>
<p>            “It was unfortunate what happened to Andy Shouse at the end of the B-Main,” Chad said. “But in racing, one person’s misfortune is another person’s fortune. Thankfully, I was on the fortunate end for once.”</p>
<p>            After a long Friday night, Chad and the team tried to think positive thoughts going into Saturday’s racing program. Unfortunately, positive thoughts didn’t last long, as another internal motor issue caused the fourth a final motor to expire in hot laps, thus ending the 2010 Belleville Midget Nationals for Chad.</p>
<p>            “It was definitely a long week for us, but we still have more racing to do this year, so we will continue on. I have some big stock car races coming up and I feel like we’re very prepared for those,” Chad said.</p>
<p>            Chad and the Billy Boat Motorsports team will be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the K&amp;N Pro Series on September 17th, immediately followed by Dover International Speedway on September 24th.</p>

<p>By virtue of a third place heat race finish, Chad would line up on the inside of the sixth row for the feature event. Steadily moving his way towards the front during the 35-lap feature event, Chad would slide-job his way up through the field and claim the final podium spot behind eventual race winner Bryan Clauson, and defending USAC National Midget champion, Brad Kuhn.</p>
<p>“We had a great race car tonight,” Chad said after the race. “I think this motor was a little down on power, but we’ve been saving our best motor for Belleville so I feel confident with our chances to win with that one.”</p>
<p>Chad and the Billy Boat Motorsports team will spend the day off putting a fresh motor in the #30 for the ultra-fast Belleville High Banks. The 33rd Annual Belleville Midget Nationals will be run on Friday and Saturday.</p>
