Chad Boat focused on upcoming K&N Pro Series races
September 3rd, 2010
With the scheduled open wheel races for 2010 in the rear view mirror, Chad now shifts his focus to the upcoming races in the K&N Pro Series. Chad will return to the stock car seat for the first time since July when he climbs into his Curb Records Chevrolet to compete with the stars of the K&N Pro Series, east division. Drivers and teams will make their second trip of the Season to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 17, but for Chad and the Billy Boat Motorsports crew, it will be their first trip to the famed oval.
“We didn’t run at New Hampshire earlier in the year so we are definitely a little behind everyone else, but Joe (Crew chief) has been there before and knows what to expect, so I think we’ll be competitive,” Chad said. “We also added Bill Wilburn recently to serve as car chief, and he obviously brings an added wealth of knowledge and experience to our program.”
Running back-to-back weekends for the first and only time of the season, The “Monster Mile,” Dover International Speedway will be the site of the second K&N Pro Series race on September 24.
Chad will return home immediately after to continue school and eventually wrap up his season at Phoenix International Raceway when he competes with the K&N Pro Series, west division. Be sure to follow Chad on Twitter to get updates straight from the driver on how his trip is going.
